Full guide to set up the DayZTools server monitoring bot
The DayZTools Bot queries DayZ servers every 60 seconds via A2S and maintains a live player count in Discord.
1. Add Bot to Server
2. Grant Permissions
Manage Server · View Channels · Read Message History · Send Messages · Manage Channels · Edit Messages
3. Create Channel
Create a channel (e.g. #player-count) and ensure the bot has the above permissions.
4. Set Channel
/setchannelid channel_id
5. Add Server
/addserver IP:QueryPort ServerName
6. Initialize
/sendinitmessage — posts the live-updating message
7. Test
/refreshbot — verify player count updates
